- Hi all,
- I am kinda new to the world of the Emplant Deluxe.
-
- -- A4000/040 warped at 28MHz
- -- 2MB chip/ 18 MB on Warp Engine and 2MB on motherboard
- -- Syquest 270 3.5" drive, Bernoulli 90Pro Internal.
- -- CD ROM --> NEC MultiSpin 3xp.
-
- The Syquest is hooked up to the Warp Engine's SCSI-II port as well as the
- CD-ROM. Bernoulli is hooked up to the Emplant's SCSI port.
-
- On the MAC side I am uisng MAC OS 7.5.1.
-
- I can not get the MAC side to recognize my CD-ROM drive. I am able to do
- file transfer with Emplant file utility since the Amiga see the CDROM.
- If I hook up the CD-ROM to the Emplant SCSI the unit is recognized and no
- problems BUT the Amiga can not see it! I use the CDROM more on the Amiga
- side so it stays on the Warp Engine SCSI-II.
-
- Anyone had any luck in getting there CDROM to work WITHOUT having it
- hooked up to the Emplant's SCSI port? I sure do not want to get another
- switch box just for that when Emplant can 'see' both the Syquest and
- Bernoulli!
-
- Oh, one thing, I have tried to change the order of the devices during
- Emplant';s boot up and it DID 'see' the CDROM drive since I put it as the
- first device BUT the CDROM just keeps spinning and just stops the SCSI
- chain UNTIL I open up the case so the system will go to the next device
- in the chain. After booting up the MAC still does NOT see the CDROM.
-
- What am I missing? Is the a special .device or something I should be using?
-
- Any help would be appreciated.
-
- TIA
-
- Alex
